Enisca’s intelligent, integrated water pressure boosting system the PumpPod™ has won the Institute of Water’s Northern Ireland Area Innovation Challenge. The judging panel said of the PumpPod™; it “Demonstrates the full range of innovation from the initial conceptual model through several design phases to a finished and polished commercial product.”

With support from Invest NI Enisca has made a significant investment in the research and design of the PumpPod range over a number of years.  The Enisca team are delighted that their efforts have been acknowledged by the Institute of Water judges who went on to say; it (PumpPod™) “appears to deliver significant cost and time savings as well as providing a more sustainable alternative to the current practices.”

As the winner of the Northern Ireland Area Innovation Challenge, the PumpPod™ is under consideration for the Institute of Water’s National Innovation Award. This will be announced at the Institute of Water’s Annual Presidents Dinner Dance to be held in Edinburgh later in May. The team are confident that the PumpPod™ is uniquely innovate and makes a clear business case for the use PumpPod™ solutions over conventional booster pump station designs.

The trophy for the Northern Ireland Area Innovation Challenge is to be presented at the Wastewater Centre Belfast in June.
